What is MilePilot?

MilePilot is a free, independent airline loyalty miles calculator. Enter a route, a booking class, and a frequent flyer programme — and the calculator tells you exactly how many miles or points you'll earn, including elite status bonuses.

The goal is simple: remove the guesswork from booking. Loyalty programme earning rates are notoriously hard to find and even harder to compare across programmes. MilePilot pulls everything together in one place so you can make smarter decisions before you book.

Who built it?

MilePilot is operated by Bang & Frank Ltd, a company registered in Finland. The project started as a personal spreadsheet for tracking earning rates across frequent flyer programmes and grew into a proper calculator when the spreadsheet became unmanageable.

Which programmes are supported?

MilePilot currently covers over 20 frequent flyer programmes, including both distance-based programmes (where miles depend on how far you fly and in which cabin) and revenue-based programmes (where points depend on how much you spend). Supported programmes include Flying Blue, British Airways Executive Club, American AAdvantage, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, Emirates Skywards, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, Lufthansa Miles & More, and many more.

New programmes are added regularly. If your preferred programme isn't listed yet, check back soon.

Where does the data come from?

All earning rates are sourced directly from official airline and frequent flyer programme websites, PDFs, and partner earning guides. Each programme is researched individually — earning rates are never assumed to be identical between programmes, even for the same alliance.

Data is stored in Airtable and fetched live in your browser, so updates go live as soon as they are made. If you spot a rate that looks wrong, please let us know.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free. MilePilot is supported by Google AdSense display advertising. No paywalls, no sign-ups required to use the calculator. See the Privacy Policy for details on how AdSense handles ad personalisation.

How accurate is it?

MilePilot aims to be as accurate as possible, but airline earning rates do change — sometimes without much notice. The calculator reflects rates as published at the time of the most recent update. Always verify the earning rate with the airline or programme directly before making a booking decision based on it.
